Rollicking freylakhs, Rumanian Horas and Russian Kolomeykas are brought to life by the Ann Arbor band Klezmephonic. Their sound stems from the Eastern European Jewish folk music of the 19th and 20th centuries, sprinkled with swing and Roma Gypsy stylings. Featuring clarinet by Will Cicola and guitar by Alex Anest, over the driving, the dance-inducing rhythms of bass by Dave Sharp and world percussion by Carolyn Koebel.
