Native Detroiter Kimmie Horne is a consummate entertainer and she is considered by many to be one of the most outstanding performer and recording artists to emerge from this area in years! Kimmie’s beautiful alto voice couple with her unmatched ability to perform and entertain puts her in a category of her own.
She features classy blends of Jazz, Pop and Rhythm and Blues and taking her audience on a journey through time and an electrifying ride through various musical idioms. Having been compared to such legendary artists as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Lena Horne, Kimmie’s performances revitalize their collective spirits. Kimmie Horne has the sass of Shirley Bassey, the sensuous whisper of Sade, the octane drive of Josephine Baker and the sultry interpretations of the great ones like Phyllis Hyman and Nina Simone.
